Room 3's Volcano!!

 Room 3 had so much fun learning about Volcano's that we decided to make our own!!

We discussed all the different colours we saw! There was orange, red, black and grey!

We mixed baking soda, vinegar and red food colouring to match the lava!

It was so much fun!

Athletics day!

Room 2 and 3 had so much fun competing today for athletics day!!

First we put on sunblock and our hats!

We had lots of running races!!

We also had tug of war!!

We even had potato and spoon races, it was so fun!!

 Room 2 and 3 had so much fun singing, clapping and playing musical instruments!

Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Room 3 has been learning about the different seasons!

We have been talking about Spring and what sort of things we find in the springtime!

We went to the forest to see if we could find some of the things on our scavenger hunt list!

 

Fun in the Forest

 Room 3 had so much fun searching for tiny creatures in the forest!

Dance Dance!

Today Room 2 and 3 did some groovy dancing for their first day back!

We did lots of listening, following instructions and team work!

Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy!

Room 2 and 3 had lots of fun making fruit salad today!

We even learnt how to say all the fruit we used in Maori!

We used the words half and quarters while we were cutting the fruit!

Baking Cookies

Room 2 & 3 had lots of fun baking chocolate chip cookies!

First we washed our hands!

Then we melted 100g of butter

After that we cracked an egg

Next we added the cookie mixture into the bowl and took turns to mix it in

  
After that we rolled the mixture into balls with our hands and squished them flat

Then we put them in the oven!

Yum yum!

Mrs Kirby came to visit!

On Friday Room 2 and 3 had a special visitor... Mrs Kirby and Baby Luka!!!

It was very exciting and we had a party with cheerios and fairy bread after!!

The Star Dome

Our Topic this term is Space!

Today Room 2 & 3 were lucky enough to visit the Star Dome!

Here we learnt about the Moon orbiting the Earth and the Earth orbiting the Sun!

We had so much fun being Astronauts and learning about all the Planets! 

Room 3 performing The Fish Song

We were so excited seeing Room 7's Playdough song and dance that we decided to share a song of our own! This is our Fish song we have been learning.

Room 2 and 3 had lots of fun learning some rugby skills today!!

Bubble Art

Room 2 & 3 enjoyed seeing our buddy class make bubble art on their blog so much, that we decided to do it ourselves!!

 It was so much fun watching the bubbles make designs on the paper!
